Decided to give the snowboarding a rest today and get out on the mountain bike. There are quite a few graded off-road tracks in the Savoie, and I took a 'green' graded track for the 10 mile trip to Aime. Only the first couple of miles were off-road, the rest on a purpose-built cycleway following the Isere river. Despite the slightly clinical fact of being on a tarmac path, the stunning setting, weather, and fact there was no vehicles allowed made this a rediculously pleasant way to spend an afternoon. Coming back, I took the slightly more challenging 'blue' route, and the last 2 miles again were off-road. I went a bit mad on the off-road bit and got back to the caravan with a huge cheesy grin on my face! :-)
